Using Josys MCP with ChatGPT Desktop

This page describes the steps to use Josys MCP with ChatGPT.

Prerequisites

Download the ChatGPT desktop app.

Steps

  1. Log in to Josys.
  2. Click "Settings" in the bottom left of Josys, then click "Developer".
  3. Click "+ Create" in the top right.
  4. When the pop-up appears, select "Access Token (for Josys MCP)".
    We recommend using a unique label that helps identify where and by whom it is being used.
  5. Once created, the token will be displayed. Please copy and save it. Note that it will not be displayed again once you close the page.
  6. Open the ChatGPT desktop app.
  7. Click your account name in the bottom left and click Settings, or press "Ctrl + ," on your keyboard.
  8. Once the page loads, click "Plugins" from the left menu > click "Add" in the top right > click "Add MCP Server".
  9. Enter the following details:
    Name: Josys
    Select "Streamable HTTP"
  10. Enter the following details:
    URL: https://mcp.us.josys.it/mcp
    Header (Key): x-agent-token
    Header (Value): The access token you generated on Josys and saved earlier
  11. Click "Save" in the bottom right.
    *You can edit these settings later even if you save them incorrectly.

*Please change the URL as appropriate by referring to the table below.

Using it in ChatGPT

  1. Click "Back to App" in the top left.

  2. Once the chat opens, select "Work" at the top of the page and ask your question.


    You may be prompted to allow access to use MCP. Please grant the permission.
