Overview
Josys offers Data Residency to help organizations meet regional data governance, compliance, and privacy requirements by allowing customer data to be stored within a specific geographic region.
Currently, Josys supports the following cloud-hosted data residency regions:
- Japan Data Center
- United States Data Center
When your organization is provisioned, it is assigned to one of these regions, and all your data is securely stored within that region.
What is Data Residency?
Data Residency refers to the geographic location where your organization's data is stored at rest.
Many organizations have regulatory, contractual, or internal compliance requirements that require customer data to be stored within a specific country or region. Josys Data Residency helps organizations satisfy these requirements by ensuring customer data is stored in the selected data residency region.
With Josys Data Residency:
- Customer data is stored within the selected data residency region.
- Production and backup data remain within the same regional boundary.
- Customers access their organization through region-specific endpoints.
- The selected data residency region is determined when the organization is provisioned.
Supported Data Residency Regions
Josys currently supports the following data residency regions:

Use the appropriate endpoint based on the region where your organization is provisioned.

Data Processing
Important: Data Residency applies to where customer data is stored at rest.
Certain Josys features and services may process customer data outside the selected data residency region to provide platform functionality. This processing does not change where customer data is stored, and customer data continues to reside within the selected data residency region.

Choosing Your Data Residency Region
Customers can choose whether their organization is provisioned in the Japan or United States data residency region during onboarding.
