Overview
This article explains the primary causes and troubleshooting steps to resolve connection errors when entering a URL in the system.
When a Connection Error Occurs
If a connection error (an error indicating that the site cannot be accessed) occurs after entering a URL, the system may not be able to reach the URL you provided. Please review the potential causes and solutions below.
Primary Causes
Connection errors typically occur due to one of the following reasons:
Invalid URL: The entered URL is incorrect or does not exist.
Access Restrictions: The app is restricted and only accessible via a company VPN or internal network (intranet).
Site Downtime: The website or service is temporarily down or experiencing issues.
Troubleshooting Steps
Please follow the steps below in order to resolve the issue:
1. Check if the URL opens in your browser
Copy the URL you entered, paste it into a new tab in your web browser (such as Chrome or Edge), and try to access it directly.
If it does not open in your browser: The URL might be incorrect, or the site itself may be temporarily down. Please double-check the URL.
2. Check for VPN or internal network restrictions
Please ensure that the app you are trying to access does not require a company VPN to open.
【Important】 Internal apps that are not publicly accessible on the internet (accessible only via a company VPN or intranet) are not supported on our system (builder feature). We appreciate your understanding.
3. Enter the "Home Page" URL instead of the login screen URL
For certain apps, entering a specific login URL (e.g., .../auth/sign-in/) may result in a 404 error on our system, causing the connection to fail.
【Solution】 If you encounter an error with the login URL, please try entering the app's home page URL (such as the company's main landing page or service overview page) as a fallback to see if the connection succeeds.
If the issue persists after checking all of the above, please feel free to contact our customer support team for further assistance.
