Overview
This page describes the function that allows you to create an application integration in Josys and connect applications other than those officially supported as "Integrated Apps."
Target Audience
- Josys IT Administrators.
- Customers who currently create custom applications and manually manage app information.
What You Can Do
Josys currently has a set of applications that can be officially integrated ("Integrated Apps") and those that cannot. Official integration requires the third-party application to expose an API, which is not available for all applications. Unlisted applications are often managed manually as "Tracked Apps."
However, if your application meets the conditions below, you may be able to automatically retrieve information, similar to an "Integrated App," even if it is not officially supported.
Conditions for Successful Integration:
- The application does not use Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) or IP Address Restrictions and only requires an ID and password for login.
- The application does not display pop-up guides after logging in.
- The application has a page where a list of users can be viewed.
Usage Requirements
- Setup is only supported on Google Chrome.
- The Josys Browser Extension must be installed.

Application Integration Setup
1. Pre-Configuration
- Access chrome://extensions/.
- Navigate to the details settings page for the Josys extension.
- Turn ON the option "Allow in Incognito" (or "Allow to run in private/secret mode").
2. Creating the App Integration
- In the Josys left-side menu, click "Integrations" > "App Catalog".
- Scroll to the bottom and click "Add New App."
- A window will open on the right side.
- If this is your first time creating an app integration, agreement is required. Click "Agree" on the top right.
- A pop-up will appear; click "Agree" again.
- Enter the app details: input the App Name and the App URL. (Please enter the URL of the application's login screen for the App Login URL.)
- Click "Review App."
- The required setup steps will be displayed. Click the "Build Integration" button on the bottom right.
3. Configuring the App Integration
A new window will open with the URL you just entered.
A. Log in to the App
- On the login screen, a guide will appear on the bottom right.
- Click "Let's Go" displayed to the right of "Log in with Credentials."
- The guide will disappear. Proceed to log in to the application.
- After logging in, wait until the guide reappears on the bottom right.
- Once the guide is displayed and the login is complete, click the "Complete" button.
B. Set Up the App User List
- Click "Let's Go" displayed to the right of "Navigate to App User List."
- Open the application's account list page (the list of users who can log into the app itself).
- Once the user list page is open, click the "Complete" button.
- When "App User Details" appears in the guide, click it, and click the "Let's Go" button displayed to the right of "Capture App User List".
- When the guide "Select 3 Email IDs" appears on the bottom right, click the field that indicates the user's email address in three locations on the user list screen.
Example: If there is a column named "EMAIL ADDRESS," click three email addresses in that column. - Set up the following fields similarly: User Names, Roles, License info, Last Used, Statuses, and MFAs. For any item where the corresponding column is not available, click "Skip".
MFA: Select the column that indicates whether MFA is enabled or not, if available. - Next, register whether Pagination/Scrolling is required.
- Select "Yes" if all users are not displayed unless you scroll down or move to the next page. Select the Pagination/Scroll Type.
- Record the pagination. Click "Let's Go".
Even if the account count is low and the "Next" button is not clickable, click "Next" and/or "Previous" and then confirm the completion. - Once completed, click "Validate Data".
- Once completed, click "Take me back to Josys". The opened window will close.
4. Confirming Data in Josys
- Once back on the Josys screen, click "Review Data and Add App" on the bottom right.
- When the app integration build is complete, click "Add App" on the bottom right.
