Cisco Umbrella Integration

Integrating Cisco Umbrella with Josys enables IT Admins to view account details.   

Key benefits

When you integrate Josys with Cisco Umbrella, you can view a list of user accounts, including details such as their status, roles, two-factor authentication status, and last login timestamp. 

Note: Josys supports multiple Cisco Umbrella integrations.


Prerequisites

Before you begin with the integration, make sure that you have:

  • A Cisco Umbrella admin account
  • The API Key and API Secret Key
  • A DNS Security Essentials, DNS Security Advantage, SIG Essentials, or SIG Advantage plan.

Locating the API Key and API Secret Key

Step 1: Log in to Cisco Umbrella using an admin account. Navigate to Admin and select API Keys. Click Add.

Step 2: Provide the API Key Name and select Admin in Key Scope dropdown menu. Click CREATE KEY.

Step 3: Copy the API Key and Key Secret for later use in the integration steps. 

Steps to Integrate

Step 1: Select Cisco Umbrella from the App Catalog in the Apps section.

Step 2: Provide a suitable Label for identification. Enter the previously copied API Key and the Key Secret in the respective fields (see image below). Click Next to proceed.

Step 3: After the integration is complete, allow some time for data synchronization. You can now view and perform required actions from the Managed Apps in the Apps section.
