Integrating Discourse with Josys enables the IT Admin to view and manage the user accounts.
Key benefits
When you integrate Josys with Discourse, you can
- View: List of user accounts, including their status, roles, and timestamp of the user account creation and last seen activity.
- Perform actions: Deactivate, delete, and email to another user.
Note: Josys supports multiple Discourse integrations.
Prerequisites
Before you begin with the integration, make sure that you have:
- A Discourse admin account
- A Host URL and an API Key
- A Team, Business, or an Enterprise plan
Locating the API Key
Step 1: Log in to Discourse using an account with admin privileges.
Step 2: Select the API Keys from the Advanced menu.
Step 3: Click the New API Key.
Step 4: Provide a name to the API Key for integration. Select the User Level and Scope, then click Save.
Step 5: Copy the API Key to use later in the integration steps.
Steps to Integrate
Step 1: Select Discourse from the App Catalog in the Apps section.
Step 2: Provide a suitable Label in the respective field.
Step 3: Enter the Host URL in the respective field. Your login URL is the Host URL. For example, if the login URL is https://abc.discourse.group/ then https://abc.discourse.group is the Host URL.
Step 4: Click Next to proceed.
Step 5: After the integration is complete, allow some time for data synchronization. You can now view and perform required actions from the Managed Apps in the Apps section.
