Devices that are in available status can be assigned to users of your organization from the device details page as well. The device details page displays the system-defined fields with values for the selected device, and also custom fields with values.
Sign in to the Josys portal with your Josys credentials.
Assigning devices to users
Step 1: Go to the Devices tab on the left menu.
Step 2: Select the device that needs to be assigned. You can assign only devices in the Available status.
Step 3: In the device details page, select the Assign button in the Current Assignee section.

Step 4: In the Select Assignee dialog, search for the user to be assigned and select the user.
Step 5: Click Next.

Step 6: Enter the Assignment Date and click Assign.

Step 7: To add a historical assignment of that device, click the Add button and follow the above steps.
The status of the device can be updated from the device details page.
Updating device status
Step 1: Go to the Devices tab on the left menu
Step 2: Select the device whose status is to be modified
Step 3: Click on the status field under Asset Number and change the status to one of the three (Available, Decommissioned, and Unknown)
