Josys allows you to maintain the history of devices assigned to the previous users. The history helps in finding the users of the particular device throughout the device’s lifecycle.
Note:
1. You need to add or import devices before importing device assignment history.
2. Make sure to enter the asset number same as the available devices to ensure the correct mapping of information.
3. You can import a maximum of 5000 records at a time. However, to import more than 5000 records, split the file.
4. When a user tries to upload a file with more than 5000 records at a time or a file with incompatible data then the application may prompt an error message.
To import past assignments from a CSV file, do the following:
Step 1: On the Devices screen, click Add and then select Import past assignments from a file option.
Step 2: The file can be imported by following the same steps as described in How to import bulk data by CSV File.
After the device assignment history is imported, you can view the information by selecting any device under the Devices menu.
